Dr. Gotz Blome’s Advanced Bach Flower Therapy: A Scientific Approach to Diagnosis and Treatment, published by Healing Arts Press, is a definitive resource guide for anyone with any interest in Bach Flower Therapy.
In the almost 400 pages, Blome does not attempt to convince readers that these flower essence therapies are useful.
Instead, he focuses the direction of the book toward those who already utilize this holistic approach to mind-body healing using their set of 38 remedies found in the Bach flower essence kit.
Flower Remedies for Emotional and Physical Ailments
Each of the flower essences are explained comprehensively, including the effects, characteristics, and psychotherapeutic benefits.
He includes a reference area listing emotional and physical ailments and the flower remedies recommended for treating them.
Divided into three sections, the first section addresses each of the 38 single flower essences used in Bach Flower Treatments, along with information about the type of psychological or spiritual issue it can be used to help. The information even explains what the signs and symptoms of each of these psychological or spiritual issues or illnesses are in most patients.
The second section of Advanced Bach Flower Therapy: A Scientific Approach to Diagnosis and Treatment provides a short description of each of the 13 combinations of the flower essences. Again, the physical and spiritual ailments and symptoms are explained clearly and concisely.
The final section of Advanced Bach Flower Therapy provides an alphabetic list of various mental and emotional states, behaviors, and actions, and offers recommendations for the proper flower essence or flower essence combination remedy.
A Recommended Resource Book
I recommend this book for those who have at least a little knowledge of the concepts behind Bach Flower Treatment and have some experience with the benefits obtained from the use of these remedies.
This book is not the best choice for the absolute novice’s very first encounter with flower treatments; those would best benefit from a more basic explanation about how these remedies work and how they are prepared before adding this book to their library.
Anyone who has just a little basic background in Bach Flower Treatments, however, would love this as a comprehensive encyclopedia of ailments and remedies.
You certainly do not have to be an expert holistic practitioner in order to benefit greatly by reading Advanced Bach Flower Therapy by Gotz Blome, MD.
