Endometriosis Symptoms – Treatment with Holistic Products
Endometriosis is an ailment that affects women during reproductive years.
This is one of the most common causes of pelvic pain and infertility in women. During every menstrual cycle,
the tissue lining found in the innerside of the uterus, has the tendency to built up and begins to shed every
month and this tissue is called the Endometrium tissue.
In endometriosis, this tissue grows and sheds outside the uterus. This misplaced tissue then forms growths
or lesions, which respond to the menstrual cycle in the same way as the tissue lining the uterus. Endometriosis
generally affects women during their menstruating years.
Symptoms: The symptoms of endometriosis are most seen in women during their first
menstrual year. Most of the women do not find any or possibly all endometriosis symptoms after menopause.
According to statistics, about thirty to forty percent of women suffering from endometriosis have difficulty
in conceiving.
During the endometriosis stages, the endometrial growth causes pain and leads to infertility and other problems.
In endometriosis, the menstrual blood flows out through the vagina, but the blood and tissue shed from these
growths has no outlet and hence, it results in internal bleeding and inflammation of the surrounding areas
and also forms scar tissue. Endometrial growth is usually not malignant or cancerous. The exact source of
this problem is not yet found, but excess estrogen secretion can irritate and trigger the ailment.
Treatments: Pregnancy gives a temporary respite to the symptoms. Infertility persists
as long as this disease is present and therefore women are advised early pregnancy if they show signs of
endometriosis. Currently, there is no cure for this women’s health ailment, though some women show respite
during menopause. Hysterectomy, surgery and removal of the endometrial growth or ovaries are the treatments
advised to such patients. Herbal treatments can be extremely effective in controlling the condition and may
be preferred line of defense and relief.
Researchers state that patients who have undergone hysterectomy for endometriosis experience a regrowth. Drugs
that are prescribed for this treatment are male hormone derivative, danazol and sometimes progesterone or
birth control pills. Danazol reduces the size of the existing tissue and thus prevents ovulation. Hormonal
therapies have different degrees of side effects and unfortunately, the pain relieve which is credited to
these treatments are temporary.
Cleansing-Research by the Endometriosis Association indicates a link between dioxin or TCCD exposure and progress
of endometriosis. Dioxin is a toxic chemical, which is a byproduct of pesticide manufacturing, paper products
and bleached pulp. Magnesium is a toxin flusher and very helpful to ease the condition.
