It is therefore understandable, since these sort of drugs are so risky, that anabolic steroids are being classified as schedule II drugs, alongside painkillers like codeine and sedative ketamine. But what is important to grasp is that all steroids are dangerous, it is the dosage that can make them deadly.  There are many bodybuilding drugs available. The biggest healthy risks include liver and kidney damage, heart problems or even death. Nonetheless, many bodybuilders still risk their lives for muscle gain.

1 Methyltrienolone

The key ingredient in this formula is 17beta-Hydroxy-17methylestra-4,9,11-trien-3-one, which is a chemically synthesized substance. Still, the steroid Methyltrienolone, also called R1881 or Metribolone, is derived from the harsh drug trenbolone, and the modification in the form of methylating the preparation to permit for oral dosing. This chemical modification is intended to let the substance avoid breakdown in the liver. Regrettably, methylated hormones place a great deal of pressure on the liver.

It is not just the impact on the liver that is problematic; the actual recommended dose is disconcerting. That is since this drug has a dosage of less than 1 mg. 3 Trenbolone

Some bodybuildersswear by the use of the steroid trenbolone, others avoid this drug. The active ingredient within this drug, trenbolone acetate, is designed for the use in veterinary medicine. This drug was meant to improve the feed efficiency of cattle, but for some reason bodybuilders started to use it. The benefit of using this drug is fast development of mass and strength. But this drug comes with side effects. The most famous complication of this drug is night sweats, but also higher blood pressure. Other side effects of this dug is psychological side effects such as increased aggression, anxiety and shortened temper. An increase chance of developing gynecomastia is also a risk of using this drug.

4 Oxymetholone

This Schedule III drug has the chemical name of 17ß-hydroxy-2-(hydroxymethylene)-17-methyl-5a-androstan-3-one and has the molecular formula of C21H32O3. But Oxymetholone, also known as Anadrol-50, is a substance that is viewed as being one the least liver toxic methylated oral steroids obtainable. A derivative of Dihydrotestosterone, Anadrol is a very potent oral androgen and seen to be the one of the most powerful steroids. But, this drug comes with some serious side effects.

Firstly, it affects the cardiovascular system rather badly. This is as this drug leads to water retention, but excess water weight means that your heart has to work harder. Therefore, you could develop an increased level of blood pressure.

5 Halotestin

Halotestin is popular among MMA fighters and boxers, which want to remain in their weight division, but want more strength. But this drug is a 17aa steroid, and can be extremely toxic. Side effects include liver damage if taken over a long period. Nonetheless, the common side effects are nausea, vomiting, headaches, changes in skin color, an increased or even a decreased in sexual interest, oily skin, hair loss, and acne.

6 Mibolerone

The steroid Mibolerone, or cheque drops, was originally used for the treatment to shut down the cycle of the ovaries of dogs on heat. But, it was found that this veterinary drug could increase the aggression in athletes before an event. Nonetheless, this steroid can raise aggression levels and work out intensity.

This steroid can have serious side effects if used on a regular basis. Firstly, cheque drops are a 17aa steroid, and can damage the liver. Even in low dose, this drug can lead to severe illness and liver damage as fast as two weeks. This drug can also lead to kidney disease, and other side effects like lack of appetite, weight loss, vomiting, or even yellow gums.

7 Anadrol

This oral steroid was developed in the 1960 as a treatment for anemia and muscle wasting diseases. But this drug can quickly increase size and strength. For instance, estrogen levels can be raised rapidly with this drug. This can lead to water retention and gynecomastia problems. In addition, Anadrol is a 17aa oral steroid and is toxic for the liver. In fact, with the use of this drug, the liver enzymes increases rapidly. The damage can be halted if the drug has only been used for 4-6 weeks, but thereafter-permanent liver damage could occur. The risk factors increases when this drug is used in combination with other steroids or alcohol.
