Arnica and St. Johns Wart Oil: Two Gentle and Soothing Herbal Oils for Bruising, Discoloration and Swelling

Both Arnica Oil and St. Johns Wart Oil Help Heal Injuries

Arnica, What Is It?

Arnica is a wonderful natural herb for relieving pain and has the ability to counteract inflammation and reduce discoloration and swelling from injuries. It is s daisy like flowering plant that grows in Europe and is cultivated in other regions for its healing properties.

Arnica gel, salve or oil all work well on bruised skin tissue to heal black and blue injuries. Its also ideal to rub on sore muscles, sprains, and any discolored area caused by bruises or sprains.

Uses of Arnica Oil

Arnica can minimize healing complications as it treats the trauma area by internally stabilizing the inflicted area. Bruising occurs when the blood vessels break, and blood escapes and rests around surrounding tissue. This is what causes the black and blue marks known as a bruise. The benefits of Arnica help the body to reabsorb the trapped blood more readily.

Arnica Side Effects

Use Only on Unbroken Skin: There can be side effects of Arnica if you apply to broken skin, so you should never do so. Arnica oil increases the blood supply to an inflicted area and will cause more external bleeding if applied to an open wound.

The Arnica we recommend is made from fresh certified organic Arnica flowers (Arnica montana), infused in certified organic Olive Oil.
